Extracurriculars??

I am a rising junior, and I would like some feedback on how my extracurriculars look as of now.

Listed in order of devotion/importance. My love for piano and music is my main focus, I will probably end up writing one of my essays on it.

• Performed piano at Carnegie Hall (I was invited to perform later this year), also performed in 6th grade
• Second in state for piano in 9th grade, third in state 10th grade
• composed a classical album using my knowledge of music theory and inspiration from romanticism/impressionist composers. (took AP theory sophomore year). Going to sell it on iTunes and to a record label this summer
•school choir accompanist
•school newspaper junior editor. Planning to start selling the paper at the high school and at the local youth center to help reduce budget cuts.
• Varsity tennis. Won regional awards
• Starting to give tennis clinics to beginners
• Student council
• Math team
• hostess at a local restaurant
• speech and debate

Volunteerism
• service project through church for one week last summer in Virginia. Helped rebuild parts of a widowed man's trailer.
• visit local nursing home weekly and help with activities
• helped teach kids tennis through a program
• volunteer during the summers at local library
• volunteer regularly through church at soup kitchens

I certainly don't participate in any of these extracurriculars to prettify my resume. However, I would just like to know how they compare with those of students who are admitted to top tier schools.

Thanks!

Bump 10 char!!!

If you want to compare to others, go to the individual college forums and look at past Results threads. Candidates list their stats, ECs, etc. and their decision. However, be forewarned, it’s very difficult to compare ECs as there is so much subjectivity in how people present them.

Since it is so subjective, I would like to hear the opinions of others rather than just compare myself to others. Any thoughts out there?

Bump -___- I’m usually not this impatient and annoying, I apologize.
