Has anyone been able to see theirs through their portal? D hasn’t been able to see anything yet and she was chosen for verification by the FAFSA people so we didn’t know if that was the reason or if it just isn’t up yet.

I was chosen for verification as well, and it's not up for me either.

I'm pretty sure it's the same for everyone, though, even if they don't need the verification.

It'll probably be sent out through snail-mail, that's my guess.

So today the portal info on the "Financial Award Summary" has changed. But it just shows the COA, our EFC and the need total with a "0" for the "total aid" catagory. Does this mean she is getting no aid? She qualifies for Pell grants and I was told that she would likely qualify for Cal Grants too. I guess I will call FA but in the meantime if you have received an Award can you pm me or let me know on this thread. Thanks!

Just called and the recorded message says that Awards will be posted on the portal next week.

Thanks historymom, I'll have S1 look next week to see if he was lucky enough to receive the one scholarship he's applied for.

FA package online now.
All I got were loans…

Wow, Cal Poly is more expensive than UCSD…

are we gonna have to pay that cost on top of room and board???

No, that is the average cost of everything.

oh thanks. that could have been bad.

so how much did you guys get ? i got 10500 in grants and 10k in loans. How come i didn’t get work study when my efc is 0??! :[

I got no grants, scholarships, or anything…besides loans… =(

Aw, darn…I just got a heckova large amt. of loans. No grants or scholarships though >_>

I don’t think they finished updating scholarships and work study yet. My friend who has a yearly income of 17k did not receive work study and I’m pretty dam sure she should of. I guess distributing federal money is much easier cause the guidelines are set and organized by fafsa but distributing scholarships are a more difficult task. I say wait until April 1st before doing anything.

All that is in my aid is loans right now, but I heard that last year scholarships were being put up for almost a month. I doubt I’ll get any though, efc of 27,000. Bummer thing is that the parent’s business has taken a downturn in the past few months.

boo i only got $5700 of grants =/

anyone know when we need to accept or decline the awards by??

grants are already accepted for you.

ugh! i got an email saying “Congrats youre awarded financial aid!” and it was just the same loans that ive already seen on there… :\ How is that aid…
