<p>In your experiences, how is a typical FA package w/o any merit aid? Should we expect to pay about FAFSA EFC or more, and how much more?</p>
<p>I'm a senior this year at WashU. I didn't receive any merit aid. My family had a high EFC last year, due to selling stock, etc., but we also spend a large chunk of money on unreimbursed medical expenses. When I transferred last year, I was not originally given any aid, but for this year we appealed their decision by supplying information about our medical expenses and such. All told, I have an unsubsidized Stafford loan, a subsidized Stafford loan (both at maximum amounts for my year in school), a Perkins of 6k and work-study.</p>
