<p>Is it weird to send someone you've recently met a friend request without telling them beforehand? Right now, I'm sticking to sending a friend request AFTER I've told them I'd do it. Don't want to break any social rules.</p>
<p>Tbh telling them that you’re going to friend request them seems unnecessary and, to me, a bit wierd. Its only facebook, and I’ve never told someone (or been told) before friend requesting. Its not like you just met them and are asking them out on a date or something.</p>
<p>Remember: don’t overthink things. I’m friends with people on facebook that I dont even see or talk to anymore, its just a site for having connections.</p>
