Previous to being accepted to Emory I didn’t have a facebook account, but I was really excited and decided to create one for the facebook group. I did so on my computer, left it blank for about 12 hours, then on my phone about 12 hours later, uploaded profile picture, cover photo, joined the Emory facebook group, and added 3 people as friends. I was promptly logged out for supscicious activity, and then told to submit a photo to get my account back. I did so, but I just received news that my account has been disabled… So I guess facebooks’ algorithms are just garbage as there was absolutely nothing that should have led to this, but here we are. I submitted an appeal, but would like to know if I should just create a new account at this point.
You COULD create a new account but that could also make it a little confusing for them trying to establish which is the ‘real’ you. Best to just be patient but diligent in trying to get the situation with your current account settled (email them every day!)
Several years ago I was kicked off as well… and I had been a member for many years prior. You can’t do much. I emailed everyone and their brother with the company until finally I had to up load my Driver’s License in order to be reinstated. Note: YES, I checked that I was sending to a legitimate FB email. Honestly it was my only recourse at that time having done everything else. I didn’t care so much about having the profile as I did all the family pictures I had upload to the site.
