Facebook thread on Smith profs

Search for "Smith College."

It's about the fourth item down, about faculty member that influenced you (a Smith student) the most. 115 comments as of a few minutes ago.

Sorry, I can't seem to post a link not tied to my own FB page and revealing all the other groups I link to, etc.

What wonderful testimonials!

Can you specify the name of this thread? I tried to search for it, but failed to find it. Is it a discussion in a group or a group itself? Thanks!

It’s on the Smith College Organization page, a discussion starting with a comment put up on June 4 at something like 9:24am. 128 comments in all.

Thanks TD and CrewDad!

I just went through that list, copied down all the names and the number of times they appeared, and listed them by number of appearances. This will definitely factor into my course selections.

teenage_cliche, could you post the list?

Sure! Here’s all the ones with at least two mentions listed from biggest number of appearances to smallest. Mind you, I haven’t checked if all of them still teach at Smith, but here you go.

Pat Skarda
Susan Van Dyne
Harold Skulsky
Ernest Benz
Kevin Quashie
Ginny Hayssen
Joan Afferica
Bill Oram
Maria Banerjee
Mary Harrington
Walter Morris-Hale
Susan Levin
Karl Donfried
Ernie Alleva
Donna Divine
Joachim Stieber
Betsy Harris
Elizabeth Von Klemperer
Daniel Gardner
Michael Barresi
Vernon Harward
Dawn Fulton

Thanks! I’ve heard a ton about some of the professors and nothing about others.

To which I would add, off the top of my head, from more than one source:

Mahnaz Mahdavi
Roger Kaufman
Pat Coby
Don Baumer
Ruth Haas

One of the posters mentioned Mary Harrington. My daughter seconds that, albeit it not on the Facebook page.
