Does mine work now? I'm having some technical difficulties :/

Wadduppppps?!, I like your style. Haha.

mine:
http://usc.thefacebook.com/profile.php?id=3418719

here's mine

I think they usually create your account a few days before orientation. At this point, it is possible to activate your email address. If you don't, you'll do it at orientation.

At orientation, mine didn't work. So they logged onto their server via SSH and fixed it.

The last letter of my name is also cut off because it's limited to 8 characters. However, this is nothing to worry about because you can typically also use firstname.lastname @ usc.edu. That's what I'll be doing, and it's easier to remember anyway (you can find this additional address in the Options -> Account Summary section of the webmail interface).

Waddups, were you in my IR 100 discussion fall semester?

After much deliberation I thought I might as well join the crowd...
http://usc.thefacebook.com/profile.php?id=3418704
My picture will be up eventually, please be patient :)

Sidenote: themegastud--How was that IR class, because I'll be taking this semester. I was signed up for Business and Labor in America, but I changed my mind today.

did you guys get to pick your email addy's? i got a weird one :(

Haha i was in IR100 fall semester with Bender and the TA was uhhhh....damn bad memory kicking in. Who are u, i can't tell with no name :P

Sunnydasee IR100 was hmmm....a decent GE. I got an A in the class so it's not too hard. Lot's of reading tho (if you do it). Only one paper. The tests are easy, as long as you can memorize material and bs. Only thing not cool about the class is that the lectures by Bender were essentially history, he never referenced to the IR book we were reading, or talked about it, that was left for the TAs. This meant that you were responsible for all the history Bender covers (cold war, vietnam, grenada, panama, sudan..etc) + the actually IR from the textbook.

3 Questions:

Is there a way to see what friendship requests of yours are still pending and which have been rejected?

Is there a way to check your newest friends (instead of scrolling through the whole list and trying to figure out who just added you)?

What the hell is a poke?

You can check to see if someone rejected you as a friend (lol that sounds harsh) by trying to add them as a friend again. If you click Add to Friends, and then it pops up saying that you have a friend request pending, then the person just hasn't gotten to your request yet. If it lets you add them like you've never done it before, like if it says "you are about to add blah blah blah to be your friend, a notification will be sent to them..." etc, then the original friend request was rejected. Just make sure you really did try to add them before you think you were rejected. :)

I don't think there is a way to find your newest friends, unless I just don't know it. It might semi-work for you to click on My Friends in the left column and then click on Recently Updated because a lot of the people you are adding might just have gotten a facebook so they'll pop up there. Otherwise, I don't know...

A poke is basically just saying hi to a person. Instead of sending them a full message and having to write all this crap, it's basically just like "hey". Except for most people have come to use poking as a way to annoy their friends. :)

I activated my email account today. All right!

uschicka, you're right about the rejection thing. I found this on the FAQ:

[quote]
If I reject someone, will they find out?

No. When you reject someone, their friend request will leave your list of friendships to confirm, but they will not be notified. They also will not be able to send you another friend request for some amount of time, so to them, it will just seem as if you haven't confirmed their friendship yet.
