<p>While the application claims to be of 2012-13, there is a question under the Parents Demographics asking "How many people in your mother's household will be college students between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013?" and that only covers my senior year. </p>

<p>The “2012-13” FAFSA is the one for students who start college in Fall 2012 and was filled out by last year’s high school seniors after they applied to colleges to become freshmen in Fall 2012. The 2013-14 FAFSA, which will be used by those high school seniors who will be applying to college this upcoming fall for starting college in Fall 2013, is not out yet. The date range of the FAFSA such as 2013-14 always refers to the particular college year for which you are seeking financial aid. The new one usually becomes available January 1 each year.</p>
