<p>I should be able to figure this out, but, can't. D is applying to grad schools. Some will require and consider her information only; others require hers + mine, and, the FAFSA itself says that parental information is not required based on "if you answer YES to any one of these questions" - the qualifying "YES" being that she will be (assuming acceptances) in a masters, phd etc. program for the 2007-2008 school year. </p>
<p>We have an existing FAFSA, initiated in preparation for her undergrad applications, renewed now * four years. I have the pin numbers and password for that FAFSA. </p>
<p>My question is - should she use that existing FAFSA, file as a renewal, and simply update the information with the new schools, etc., and minus the parental information? Or, should we both update that existing FAFSA, even if some of her schools will not require my financials? </p>
<p>Or, should she start a whole new FAFSA? </p>
<p>Seems like this should be obvious to me, but for some reason it's making my head hurt.</p>
