That the case does not apply to higher education.
One more time there is no federal law that prohibits undocumented students from attending college.
Pandas452: Again there is no federal law that prohibits non citizens from attending college including undocumented immigrants.
There’s no federal law that requires states to enroll undocumented students in their colleges either. That’s an important point. You may want to read the 10th amendment to the US Constitution:
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States…”
According to Education Resources Information Center.gov, “education is not mentioned” in the US Constitution, so “each state has the authority to prohibit, limit, or permit undocumented students to pursue postsecondary education.” You need to look at the laws of individual states to see what their policies are. There was a link to them in one of your previous threads.
That’s irrelevant. You have to be able to pay for college in order to attend.
So go.
One more time: There is no federal law that forces a college or university to accept any undocumented student.
In the US, we don’t run our lives daily via Federal law.
I don’t need a federal law that tells me that I can go to Best Buy but not Target. Or that I can’t go to the Gas Station on Tuesday.
What are you waiting for? Go to your college.
Oh, that’s right, you haven’t been admitted anywhere. Hmm? Could be because you haven’t established yourself to be legally in this country?
You could probably be accepted in a university in your home country. You’d have a better chance of being accepted for a Masters degree after doing a Bachelor’s in your home country.
Going to school in the US will require that you pay your full fees. Where is this money coming from?
One more time: minimal Federal funding isn’t provided to non-established citizens or non-visa students. The Pell Grant’s low amounts wont begin to cover tuition at a college or university. Federal funding is extremely low and limited to legally residing US residents.
One more time: There is no federal law that says that all students, who fill out a FAFSA, will be eligible for ANY funding.
There is no federal law that prohibits a university or college from collecting its full fee payments.
Edited to add again:
You cannot use a Drivers License Number to fill out the FAFSA.
No, but you have to be admitted and pay for it. Schools don’t have to admit you (and Georgia schools will not admit students with undocumented status), and you have to pay for it. How are you going to pay for any school that admits you?
There are federal laws that prohibit you from working to pay for college.
This user has all the info needed to understand that a drivers license can’t be used for FAFSA. Closing.
