Fafsa efc

My sister got a full tuition scholarship to the college she is attending next year, and she will be living at home to save on room and board (since we live so close anyway). My parents will pay virtually nothing for her education. On the other hand, I am a rising senior and will be entering college in Fall 2014.

I know that my EFC lowers by about a half when my sister is in college the same year as me, but I was wondering if the FAFSA will take my sister's scholarship into account when calculating my EFC. Is there a question about this on the FAFSA? Will this somehow affect my EFC?

Thank you.

No, your sister’s scholarships will have no impact on your EFC.

No, only your parents’ contributions to your EFC will cut in half. Your own contribution to your EFC will be unchanged.
