So, for the CSS Profile, every school cost $18 to send, or something like that. But for the FAFSA profile...there was no such thing. They asked for a list of possible schools, but limited it to six - and I'm applying to eight. Since there are plenty of people applying to in excess of twelve schools, I have to wonder, who receives the FAFSA? By what process? Is it automatically forwarded to every school to which you've applied on completion? Somehow that seems so unlikely.

Send the FAFSA to the six schools who need it earliest. Once you get your SAR in the mail, change the schools and resubmit the FAFSA.

Go the Calmom's post on thread called "fafsa -- so confused" on the Financial Aid & Scholarships board for instructions how to update FAFSA to send to all your schools.

My FAFSA was filed and processed within the first week of January, but when I check the status on one of my college's site, it said it has not received my FAFSA yet. I thought that it prob. just didn't start uploading them yet, but other CCers have reported that theirs was already received (and they had filed it only 2-3 days ago). Any ideas?
