FAFSA help

If my parents are homeowners, where do we report it as an asset?
I didnt report it originally and someone told me i had to so I am going back to make corrections.

I read this on some FAFSA site: Principal place of residence/family farm. Your principal place of residence is not reported as an asset. Neither is your family farm if the farm is your principal place of residence and your family "materially participated in the farm's operation."

and i thought that i didnt have to report my house.

Bump,

please help.

Only if it’s a duplex or multi-family home or your family owns another home in addition to the one they live in would you need to report all of some of it. If you are talking about just a single family house and only you and your family live in it then you do not need to change your FAFSA and you did it correctly.
