FAFSA info in your college applications

When colleges are first reading your applications, do they need your FAFSA information if you indicated that you are applying for financial aid? Also, do you think they check your FAFSA information after you are accepted to their school or do they check it during the acceptance process?

They only view your financial document if you're accepted or going to be accepted. The admissions office is "said" to work independently of the financial aid office so they do not need your financial documents while they are reviewing your application for admission. However they will notify the Financial Aid office that you applied for aid.
