I submitted my initial FAFSA application recently before my parents and I filed our taxes. My mother just filed as married and filing separately and I filed my taxes as well. However, my father has been unemployed for several years and has not filed taxes in several years due to this reason. He was self employed up until losing his work.

If I state he is a dislocated worker on the application as a correction will I have to provide some sort of evidence proving this? And if so, what sort of evidence would need to be provided? He was self employed so he did not receive a layoff notice or any sort of document reporting loss of income...

PLEASE HELP! :(
