FAFSA rollover correction

I recently submitted FAFSA (2022-2023)for two of my students, one is in college and the other one is a high schoolsenior applying for fall 2022.When I checked my EFC,it was really higher than last year.I used the IRS DRT tool.Later I found out that my hunband had a rollover that was added as the income.I couldn’t reach FAFSA customer service. The college that my student attend ask me to call FAFSA and fix it.It looked like the problem exists since 2016.I never had rollover in my tax return,so I didn’t know about the problem comes from using the DRT tool.I really don’t know how to fix this.If anyone had this experience before, please share your thoughts/solutions.Thank you.

(Never attempted to contact FAFSA but I understand that the rollover problem is extremely common when using the DRT as you need to manually amend a couple of fields on a form that is mostly but not fully filled by the DRT and therefore very confusing. I did a rollover once and if I had not been proactively looking for the trap when going through the FAFSA I would have certainly fallen into it.)

@kelsmom might have a better suggestion.

The FAFSA help line won’t be able to help. You will need to contact the school (or schools, if FAFSA is being sent to more than one). Tell them what happened & they will tell you what they need. It can only be fixed at the school level once you submit.

I contacted one of the schools that we apply as early action. They told me to wait until we receive the financial aid offer after the admission. Then they have a form to fill out to fix this.I did the FAFSA for the last three years so I thought that nothing is going to go wrong.Thank you for the reply.
