I'm in the process of completing my FAFSA application, but in the student financial information area, I'm a little perplexed. I'm not quite sure if this pertain to me because I was unemployed for the year 2009, but was receiving unemployment compensation at the same time. I did file my tax with a 1099G form, but it doesn't give me the option on the FAFSA form, unless I'm overlooking it. However, any help would be grateful, thanks a lot!

Sometimes it won’t show up as received at a college even though it has been processed by FAFSA. The schools don’t necessarily download them all immediately, not to mention get them accounted for in their student data available online. I wouldn’t worry about that part. (My daughter’s school finally gets them onto the student data online usually sometime in March!)

As to your unemployment, isn’t it reflected in your AGI on FAFSA? Ours is.
