Long story short, I had 2 PE courses this semester and failed one of them. I had sinus surgery and it made one of my PE classes unbearable. I explained my situation to the instructor but he didn’t accept my surgery as an excuse, so I ended the class with an F.
So now here I am asking if I’m screwed, partially screwed, or not screwed at all?
Thanks so much.
PE as in…physical education? (I didn’t know PE courses existed in college???)
If so, there must have been proper channels that you could have gone through to minimize physical activity / be able to complete the coursework while you recover.
In any event, if your college has a grade forgiveness policy, then I suggest you simply retake the course.
I would personally propose your situation with your school’s student specialized service department… if one exists. They’d advise you if your surgery was documented with them.
Can you get some sort of note from your doctors office/the hospital and take it to a dean at your school?
