FALL 2011 Transfer--Please advise!!!!!

I am a Current Sophomore at Connecticut College (Not UCONN), its a very good liberal arts college. I am not too pleased with the school, so I am applying to a few schools as a transfer. I decided to apply to NYU cas, BC, Wesleyan, Cornell, William and Mary, and Johns Hopkins.. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Stats:
Fall semester of Freshman year- 3.175
Spring Semester of Freshman year- 3.575
Fall semester of Sophomore year-3.675
Overall GPA is 3.475
Extracurriculars: Club basketball, German Club member/treasurer, Floor representative(Student housing), and Club soccer.
In the previous summer, I worked at a law firm in my town.

HS: Pretty sure as a junior transfer, my HS stats will not matter so much, but here it is.
HS does not rank, but my GPA is a 92.
I took 5 AP courses and received a 4 on three of them
Involved in sports and Model U.N
History Honor society

-So far, I have basically satisfied all my liberal arts requirements except for math, which I will complete in the upcoming semester ( Spring 2011). My majors are International Relations and German.
-I dont know what other information to add, but feel free to request/provide some guidance or advice. THANKS!!

and my act superscored is a 27, but some schools like NYU do not request test scores if you are a junior applicant

Your GPA might be a bit low for all the schools you listed. However you are showing an upward trend and colleges love seeing that. You can try applying and see what happens because CAS isn’t as hard to get into compared to for example Engineering.

Out of the schools you listed, I believe only Wesleyan and BC require SAT/ACT score. Cornell only recommend you sending it in if you have taken one before.

Good luck and keep me posted.

I would agree that my GPA is low for Johns Hopkins and Cornell, but ConnColl is comparable to the other schools I am applying to, so hopefully that will help me out. Thanks for your insight, Ill keep you posted.

Any other takers?
