Fall 2012 Transfers

I asked if they had a portal for transfer students as well and was told they do not. I do not believe they send out a mass email telling their applicants this.

I’ve received two emails from them, stating they received my application and would notify me of any missing credentials. I later sent an email inquiring about the status of my application, and was told the app was complete.

What day did you guys submit your Common App? I think I got the email because I had finished my Common App early (March 7th). I got an email that said they had received (I’m assuming this means downloaded?) my Common App on March 21st, which was a few days before the required due date.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Glad to see some other CMC transfer applicants.

i also got the email notifying me that they received my app and would let me know if they required more info. i turned in my app on april 1st.

Submitted my application on March 5. Received confirmation my app was completed on April 15.

@Mitch when did you receive the email notifying you of the receipt of your app?

It would seem they send out personal emails?

@khumdawn

As I stated, I submitted my application on March 5. I hadn’t heard anything back so I decided to email them which I did on March 15. I told them I had submitted my application but did not receive confirmation besides the generic CA email. They responded saying although I had not received notification, they did receive my application. I was also told of my missing credentials.

On March 21, I received an email saying they received my CA and would notify me of any missing credentials.

On April 15, I sent an email inquiring about the status of my application because I had sent out my midterm grades. They responded saying my application was complete.

Hmm. So I guess that means they sent us personal emails on the 21st, since they were obviously different.

W/e too late to hypothesize . Goodnight

Yeah. Hopefully, we’ll hear back at the end of this week.

I think I’ve seen you on the SC thread as well. Have you heard back?

I know , I’m pretty stoked to hear back . Whether good or bad , I just need to know. I’m over this whole application process lol . I just want to get on with my summer break

Yeah I got an SGR on the 24th of last month . How about you ? Marshall ?

Exactly. I wish USC had a notification date like CMC.

And yes. Marshall. Applying as a Sophomore. No SGR or status change. I’m really banking on this week for USC because I want to decide where I am going soon.

Yeah , I have thought about that , but I don’t think it is feasible for them because of the sheer difference in the amount of applications . What’s your decision narrowed to at this point ? One more week + finals . Chaaaaa !

Yeah I’m ready for the decision already! I got into Berkeley so I have some thinking to do about which school to go to…

Congratz on the Berkley acceptance Oascha ! That is a great school . Haas ?

Thanks! No Econ, I keep trying to decide which I’d go to if I got into CMC, and my choice changes everyday.

Cmc pros: small classes, location, strong alumni, great feeder school for grad, probably would enjoy it more

Cal: more well known, larger alumni pool, near sf/silicon valley.

I want to work in Investment banking and I think Cal has a slight edge in recruiting there as well.

I’m not really in a position to say which would be better in terms of IB , but I think at either one if you really stand out amongst the crowd it’d be possible . For me , I think those caliber of schools will most likely afford you the same opportunities , so it comes down to three other gauges : social fit , debt at graduation , and potential growth as an individual .

I was accepted to UNC-CH, UCLA, and SMU.

I’m currently leaning towards SMU for a variety of reasons.

How about you?

I think I’d have to say fit and growth would probly go to cmc. And debt would probably be equal. I think I’m leaning cmc, assuming I get in lol

Right now I’ve been accepted to LMU SGR’d at USC and am waiting on CMC . I don’t want to venture a guess (little superstitious) , but I do have a soft spot for CMC

That’s cool that you applied all over the country

Thanks.

So close to May 15.
