Fall 2015 Applied/Accepted Thread!

@DaSpanishArmada and @AppleMactintosh Thanks, best of luck to you too! :slight_smile: Ya one of my friends got in from the waitlist, so there’s still hope.

Alright so I just received a denial. I am gonna write a letter of appeal, but if that doesn’t work (and I don’t expect it to work) then I’m going to UC Santa Cruz.

I got denied as well. I’m going to San Jose State afterall. I am not going to appeal but I hope it works out for you. Have fun in CS bud where ever you go.

Accepted
Animal science
GPA 3.9
SAT 980/1380
Not local Coachella Valley

AHHHHH!!! I got an email today saying that my appeal had been accepted!!! It says that it’s not an acceptance, but my application is going to continue to be considered along with the other applicants for Fall 2015. And my BroncoDirect now lists me as “Provisional Admit.” :slight_smile:

They just sent me an acceptance letter! :smiley: Cal Poly Pomona here I come!

@DarkKeys7 Acceptance letter through email? or physical letter?

@Gman95 Email.

@DarkKeys7 Congratulations! I know the struggle of being on the waitlist for CS haha. See ya there!

@ProjectC4 Thank you, see you on campus! xD

How do I write an effective appeal?

Can I ask you what you’d included in your appeal?

@HiHello7 Oops. So sorry, didn’t see this until just now. This might be too late. :confused: I was just messaging someone else and telling them that my situation was a little special, because the school didn’t have my ACT scores after I sent them in. My appeal was mostly about that, and basically about how their school had messed up by not getting my scores in time. However, if you were involved in a club, team or community service in high school, talk about your involvement in that activity, and how you’ve grown as a person from the things you’ve learned from there. I think the letter can only be one page, then you can add supporting documents to the packet. Just write a lot on that one page, since that letter is like getting interviewed by the school. Hope this helps. If there’s anything else you want to know, you should message me. I’ll reply a lot quicker then.
