Fall 2017 Applied/Accepted Thread!

Animal Health Science

LA County.

Application submitted on Nov. 28, SAT scores recieved on 1/23, and I’ve been stuck on “Ready for Decision” every since sigh

I just went on broncodirect and entered my ID and it said accept/decline admission offer. Then I check my admission status another way and it said pending decision and also I’ve seen ready for decision. Has anyone else seen this?

My son was accepted on 12/18/16 into CS. MCA for CSU is about 4700. 32 ACT.

Am I the only one who feels like they’re lagging this year? Idk, maybe it’s just bc I’m anxious and impatient. But previous yrs, people posted they got a notification in late January even (like the 30th) and especially early February (first 3 days). The only people that I know of that got acceptances this year are the ones with tippy top super high stats, and they got it in December. Uggh

Oh my god reading these acceptances makes me nervous… Do you guys think I’ll get in?
Major: Computer Science
SAT (out of 1600): Took ACT, 28.
GPA: 3.79. 10-11. First semester senior year = 4.5
Local Area: In-state within 30 miles.

@icurryx3
I think you have a really good chance, your stats are pretty high (above their average). And that would mean your eligibility index is also pretty high. Good luck, I’m pretty nervous too lol my stats aren’t high

Thanks man. My eligibility index was around 4300 so I’m quite hopeful. This is my safety.

ive checked my status in those ways too, its nothing different. the accept/decline is just the option used once sent an email from cpp saying youve been admitted

Just checked my portal and I’m also under “Ready for Decision.” From what I know, many of my friends that got accepted to CPP last year heard from them around March/April. I also heard locals get their decisions faster.

Hey to everyone waiting, I applied with a 3.49 for business admin (technology and ops mngmt.) and was provisionally admitted on December 18th. I send my transcripts on January 17th and they confirmed that they had received them and updated their status to received on time on the 30th, so 13 days time from sent to received. My only to do listed is now “enrollment confirmation deposit” and the only option is “Accept Your Admission Offer.” So I imagine those are the things you’re going to want to be looking for if you’re still waiting on updates.

I applied from Grossmont College in San Diego and had a completed AS-T is business admin.

Keep in mind I am a TRANSFER STUDENT and am not applying out of high school.

My son’s status is the same as you!

Major: Business Administration

Does SDSU Historically do a week of admissions rollouts - and is it by major like CPoly?

@Suburbialife: You have posted in the wrong thread.

Accepted: 12/18/27
Major: Industrial Engineering
SAT: 1080
GPA:4.12

Still waiting on CSULB, SLO, and UCs

@gumbymom - my D also applied at SDSU, and CPP and we don’t know how they do their admissions either - was wondering if it was like CP or if they had another method.
SDSU thread will be next. Thank you!

@Suburbialife: For SDSU and CPP, they use the eligibility index and rank applicants by major and EI. Local in-service area applicants are given priority and require a lower EI than out of area applicants.

Impacted majors at CPP usually take longer due to supplemental criteria review.

SDSU is an impacted campus, so all majors are impacted and all applicants are accepted into a Pre-Majors which means to continue onto the upper division major classes, the student needs to meet GPA requirements based on major lower division courses.

Both schools do decisions on a rolling basis with high stat applicants notified in December for SDSU and December/January for CPP. CPP is notorious for prolonging decisions, many times into April.

SDSU is the 2nd most popular campus based on applications, so they should be rolling out decisions starting next week Feb 20th if they adhere to the same timeline as the last few years.
CPP should be also rolling out decisions within the next few weeks, but this year many of the CSU’s decision timelines have not followed their usual pattern.
If CP is referring to SLO, then SLO does everything differently. They use 9-11th grades in their GPA calculation and MCA points in the computer algorithm not the EI.

The CSU’s are pretty transparent in regards to admissions, but there always seems to be a bit of luck involved especially for the more competitive campuses.

Accepted into Civil Engineering!
Thank goodness I have both Cal Poly universities in my pocket.

Also heard from a friend that she was accepted to Pomona for English. Decisions are rolling out!

I just got accepted! :D!!!
