From this thread and CSULB thread, it’s looking like a huge mistake to apply undeclared to your nonlocal CSU if the campus is impacted. It seems like they offer those slots to locals who didn’t meet the EI cutoff for their choice major. Maybe @Gumbymom could post a word of caution during next year’s application season.

I’m a transfer student and my application status has changed to “Ready for decision”.
@mgh516: CPP does not publish their EI cutoff but around a 3800+ can be competitive for most majors except for impacted majors which continues to rise each year.

Link shows which CSU’s are impacted for undeclared. Doesn’t show CPP so it may not be a problem here.

OMG! That’s great news! What was your major? GPA? And did they ask for transcripts before they changed your status?
@berjango Did you complete IGETC or CSU breadth? Have u complete the Golden 4 or are u still finishing class this spring term?
Any info helps! I didn’t complete IGETC so I was just curious. I still have last course this Spring so I’m curious if that will disqualify me (CPP is super competitive among transfers also).
I applied for a housing exemption on February 16 and just review word back today that it was approved. I had a legitimate reason and provided a document from my therapist. Just wanted to let others know incase they were wondering what the process was like. I would suggest living on campus though & not trying to be exempt(If you dont have your own personal restrictions). I went on a tour Monday & its honestly an amazing campus.
@SoCalGal2017 Chemical engineering and they haven’t asked for anything at all since I applied in December.
I completed IGETC and Golden Four but would still have only 11/12 major prerequisites completed by Spring 2018.
When is the next wave of acceptances out? My application is still stuck on application received for what seems like decades now
Ikr…It feels like the longer it takes the more paranoia starts about rejection.

Haven’t seen anything on here for either of those majors. My D is a psychology major and is still waiting. However, friend said her D heard back last week, and I’m pretty sure she is a psych major.
