BroncoDirect is up again and my son’s application status still says Provisional Admit. I was a little paranoid there was a glitch in the system. Whew!
@SoCalGal2017 Freshman CPP applicant
I don’t get it. My daughter’s portal still says 'portlet currently unavailable. What’s going on? Why is it working for some and not for others?
@Mom2Engineers I have a theory that they are either deciding those decisions very shortly OR the site just has a glitch? It’s very weird
Yeah, I agree, there is definitely something going on with the site. At least I have seen in this thread that others can’t access it either. What’s most frustrating is that my daughter has been checking every 30 minutes since yesterday morning and it’s been down this whole time, while others are saying hat they were accepted.
LOL, I suppose if I didn’t read this board, it wouldn’t be so frustrating!
@mom2engineers I think you may be checking a different portal. For my son, it shows “provisional admit” using this link provided in the email he received to setup his original admissions status portal.
https://cmsweb.cpp.edu/psp/HPOMPRD/?cmd=login&gsmobile=0
When he goes to the https://my.cpp.edu, he can use the same log-in credentials and it shows portal unavailable. .
@svlab112 Thanks for the tip! My daughter just logged in there and it’s giving her the same old ‘application received’. So now we’re wondering if this means she’s waitlisted…
My portal still says application received and its down again. Anyone know whats happening?
CPP does decision waves, so do not assume you have been rejected or waitlisted just because your decision has not been posted. Each major will have a EI threshold for admissions. Applicants which have high EI’s are usually notified first with their decision, along with local vs. non-local applicants and this process will continue over the next few months as they continue to review the applications. Extremely frustrating for students and parents, but that is how most CSU’s work. Be patient and best of luck to everyone.
I hadn’t checked the BroncoDirect portal for several days because I didn’t think decisions were coming out so soon. So, maybe my provisional admit admissions decision had already been in my account for some time, but yesterday afternoon for quite a long time my attempts to log into BroncoDirect were met with some strange never-seen-before glitch-type message—at first I thought my internet router or Google Chrome was causing a glitch/conflict. I eventually came to this thread and noticed others were also having log in issues and realized CPP must be doing something with the system.
A few hours later I was finally able to log in and then found my status was Provisional Admit.
I just now tried to get into BroncoDirect again and had no problem accessing it.
Congratulations to all who’ve gotten in so far, and good luck to those still waiting for the decision. CPP is an excellent institution.
Will i get in? I have a csu gpa of 3.6 and sat scores of 1130. Applying for chemistry.
@Mom2Engineers One thing that helped me was checking this thread from last year to kind of get an idea of how CPP does admissions.
Some people didn’t find out until well into March. I’ve even looked at the dates and observed how they correspond with weekdays and weekends lol! It doesn’t seem that any acceptances came over the weekend. I hate the waiting game!! Haha
@disneychand You’re right, this waiting game is extremely frustrating! My daughter was invited to the Showcase of Excellence, so she thought her chances at CPP were pretty good. So she’s somewhat disheartened right now.
@Mom2Engineers I was pretty envious of not getting the Showcase invite, but I would hate waiting longer for a decision. I’m sure your D is accepted, but waiting for confirmation is stressful and irritating.
Thanks, @CopperlineX2 . She’s talking about going to Riverside right now… which tells me that she’s really down. Hopefully CPP will let her know soon, one way or the other.
My DS 's app is still under review. During the tour, they claimed that for engineering, one ought to have 3.8 or above and they’ll tell us in March. DS only has 3.4 CSU GPA with 640 math and 580 reading. I am not sure what the cut off is for CPP this year, or even last. We are in state but not local.
Has anyone been accepted for Aerospace Engineering? Asking for my boyfriend. He has a 4.3 CSU GPA & 1300 SAT. Nonlocal but SoCal.
@clumsy915 no not yet
Will the next decisions be out by next week @Simjee321
@xxsdccx looking at threads from last year i think decisions keep coming out till the end of march
