Fall 2020 Transfer Admission

@balletkat that would be great to know, but also if people who were not admitted or were waitlisted got that email too. (so if everyone gets, or just those who are being admitted). My daughter also received the same email so fingers crossed.

Iā€™m waiting to hear back too! I believe the email ā€œRetrieving Financial Aid Decisionā€ is a generic message sent to everyone who applied for financial aid to inform of the decision date and how to access their decision. I checked through other threads from years past and that seems to be the case. Best of luck @balletkat @4togo4!

Thank you! I did not apply for financial aid though, which is why it was a bit of confusing message to receive. Taking everything with a grain of salt though and assuming it was generic.

hi!! can i ask what your stats are? im applying to transfer for fall 2021 and im soo nervous! i completely understand if not

Hi! Sure.
I had a 4.0 GPA, a member of PTK, a member of my collegeā€™s honors program, and on the Deanā€™s List. I decided not to send any SAT scores.
Other than that, I was a member of two STEM clubs on campus and was recognized for academic achievement by Fortune in an event in DC.

Hi there, absolutely! Hopefully I can remember everything. From high school I had a 33 ACT, 4.81 GPA (weighted), and included my extracurriculars as a captain of my track team and my experiences with my dance company. For college, I attended a T60 university with a 3.51 GPA after 1 semester (but my midterm progress report showed I had all As and I finished my freshman year with a 3.71). I was part of Phi Alpha Delta, a pre-law society, on several committees for the largest college Dems chapter in America (which will give away the school haha), and a member of Pi Beta Phi, which is a social sorority. I didnā€™t end up going to Smith, but I hope thatā€™s helpful!

Thank you so much for sharing!!!

Thank you so so much! This is definitely very helpful! I hope you ended up being very happy wherever you ultimately chose to attend!!
