Son #1 has one more semester to go, but that being said, it’s hard to find housing for just one semester - Fall 2015. Anyone have any advice how to search this out?

I am a Longhorn parent. We paid for the UT Austin Texas Parents Association for four years. I think one year might be like $60 or something like that. With that membership we are on a closed Texas Parents Facebook page that is truly invaluable for all kinds of information. Like tutoring, housing, etc. just lots of stuff that help as a parent to still feel connected and to still to some extent helicopter our kids on occasion when they need it! Parents ask for all kinds of advice on doctors, churches, emergencies, apartment leases,etc. I highly recommend it. We do see people posting for a roommate on occasion. It is a timing thing most of the time. Your best bet is to find the lease of a student that will be studying abroad in the fall, but want his room back in the spring. Or some such scenario.
Thanks so much - I’ll check it out! After doing some searches, it does seem that the travel abroad students are frequently looking to sublease.
