Falling Out of the Top Bunk!

Do the top bunks have bed rails to keep restless sleepers from falling out?

Specifically Tioga Hall.

If not, where can I get them for not too much money?

since they assigned us bunks are those final? or can we change with our roommates? i really really really do not want the top bunk and im in a triple

@Tatin… the bunk should have a guard rail, however, if you dont have it on your bed, you can request one to be installed from housing and maintenance

@California… You can see if one of your roommates are willing to exchange.

Just request for a rail…

I remember a few of my suitemates falling from their beds the first couple of nights

they learned quickly :)

There was a recent thread on this topic:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/987689-bunk-bed-safety.html

Ask maintenance for a rail if you don’t have one. I never felt unsafe on the top bunk.

Good luck with that, caligurl. Nobody wants the top bunk. Unless your roommates are pushovers you’re stuck with it like I am.

i finally arrived! i have the loft and my bed is very high! There was no rail. But i found out that mine was just broken away. I called the maintanence and i told them that i need the rail urgently and the person was very mean and said ’ we have thousands of businesses to take care of, so please wait.'

@yunjh… you’ll have to be patient. Keep in mind a bunch of people are moving in and they’re getting calls non stop and are constantly having to work. This is the most stressful time for them. They’ll be there within a few days. They have to handle everything in the order in which people called

I think I got hurt on the bottom bunk more than my roommates did with the top. There’s not much head space for sitting up!
