<p>For the section about your parents' income, what do I put for number of years of current occupation if my dad was just recently layed off? I put unemployed for current occupation, and then 0 for number of years; it won't let me put a fraction of a year either.</p>
<p>Being unemployed is not an occupation, put what he did at his last job.
If he is still unemployed when you recieve finaid offers notify the schools of that to get updated offers.</p>
<p>you can attach a note or something saying that your dad recently lost his job.. I think.. My fin aid was already calculated based on my parents old incomes and my mom lost her job.. so when it was time to fill out the fin aid information for the next year, she attached a note explaining what was going on, and they sent back a note saying thank you for taking the time to explain to them, and that they would take care of everything, and then my fin aid changed a bit. :)</p>
