I have a low GPA of 3.0, but I have an outstanding essay that I think may win admissions over. I am involved in many extracurricular activities, such as Red Cross Club (I’m an officer in this club), Yearbook Club, Newspaper Club, Reading Buddies (reading to second grade children), Art Club (I’m the president of this club), Interact Club, I’m also on the Rowing team and Tennis team at my school, and have been a part of all these activities since either my freshman or sophomore year. I have had a challenging course-load throughout my high school years, including AP classes and several honors (advanced) classes as well as 4 college courses this year.
If you’re talking about FIDM, then it’s not a competitive school to get into… You’re probably in. However I generally advise against going to for-profit schools. Employment opportunities are often poor and school administrators seldom care about their students. I would much rather advise going to a cc and getting an associates degree or some sort of certification in what you want to do.
Thank you, but I was talking about the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in NYC, not FIDM in Cali.
Ahh ok. I don’t know anything about the other school. Apologies.
Ugh!! I’m so nervous I have about a 3.7 gpa but now I’m worried my essay isn’t good enough! I had a bunch of people read it but I’m worried I didn’t put enough about myself in it. I’m going nuts just looking about it!
@nubby4life That’s literally me right now I’ve been stressing out!! I have a 3.96 GPA, but I’m scared my essay is gonna be their deciding factor
