Just want as much info as possible before entering...I mean...5 weeks of straight calc...I want to be as prepared as possible. Also, how many are doing this?

I didn’t do Fast Track myself, but I have a lot of friends that did so hopefully I can offer some insight. Fast Track is ideal if you have had some, but not a lot, of calc in high school. It is great if you want to get ahead so you can get a double major, minors, or certificates, or potentially graduate a quarter early. It is an intense program, so be ready to work hard for those 5 weeks, but there will be plenty of other students as well as counselors who did Fast Track the year before to help. If you’re not sure if Fast Track is for you, email or call the Math department, your major department, or the Admissions office and they can explain it in more detail. That’s a quick overview; feel free to ask any more specific questions you have.

Thanks Nick

My daughter isn’t going to be doing Fast Track Calc. She took AP Calc her Jr year and another year of Calc her Sr year (college credit) so she didn’t think it’d be worth loosing 5 weeks of her summer for it.

I applied for the program too. I took IB Standard Level for math, and that course only provided one year of calculus. I think I will be better with more experience in calculus. Yeah they said that those 5 weeks will be very intense, but I enjoy math so I think I’ll be okay.
