le petit prince by saint exupery, it's the sweetest book!!!

Oh I love Le Petit Prince. I read my friend's and bought El Principito for myself. It's awesome.

alyssa09: I'm kind of addicted to Lone Wolf, so when I saw the name + series, I immediately thought it Lone Wolf and the cub. I don't know about the one from england.

alice in wonderland...no kidding its a good book - all philosophical nd pretty cool

100 years of solitude, gabriel garcia marquez.

i didn't realize i could put children's books. I remember animorphs, goosebumps, shel silverstein....someone in my 3rd grade class was OBSESSED with goosebumps... i didn't think shel silverstein's poems were that good, some of them don't make sense w/out the illustrations

me, too, lindsey. I just explained the keepsake one. the keepsake was mentioned in one of my essays, too.

I asked my guidance counselor if I should explain each answer, and she said no, since they didn't ask for an explanation.

online, there is no space for an explanation.
Which is just as well because if there was i'd write an essay on each of mychoices

i applied online and i added short descriptions to each one...

1984- george orwell

Atlas Shrugged was a close second

1984 is great, much agreed

I put East of Eden.

Scarlet Letter? wtf? I wrote about how much that book sucked in one of my essays LOL

I like 1984 and Animal Farm and many others. I put Brave New World though.

Surely You Must Be Joking Mr. Feynman.....no ones heard of it but I loved it.

I've heard of it! Funny book (and it's even named after an incident that took place at Princeton, right?).

I loved P&P and Fountainhead and not at all the Scarlett Letter :P

But for favorite book I put The Bluest Eye....would they think it's kind of sucking up since Toni Morrison teaches at Princeton?? It is one of my favorite books, and I wrote an essay on it for some other stuff....

Also, Grendel and Black Like Me are really good.

Could someone give me some input on The Bluest Eye? Thanks :D

the picture of dorian gray rocks
but.....
i put heroes of history by will durant

good book, although the reason I didn't write most of the books that have been mentioned so far (i really liked most of the books I recognized) was that i read these books a couple of years ago, so it might look like i don't do any challenging reading. like if you put down Seuss, they obviously know you've read harder books, but if you put down something you read 3-4 years ago, then they can't tell if you liked this book better than others you've recently read, or you can't read anything harder than that. important: i'm not implying that the more challenging the book, the better it is.

Edit: I took too long and posted one post too late. I meant that I liked The Bluest Eye.

Call me boring but I put the Bible. I guess this makes sense though cuz im publishing the first-ever Ebonics translation of the thing. Shout out to Brave New World though. I had to read it over the summer for school and thought it was pretty tight.

The Trial - Franz Kafka

Hey Suburbian,

Yeah I thought about that too... but what do you suggest? I guess I haven't really read any "challenging" book lately... I don't know, I'm feeling kinda shallow now ;)

My guess is that The Bluest Eye won't be looked upon as sucking up--if it's a worthwhile book, then you're allowed to like it!
