Favorite college references in movies

My Teacher’s Wife, lol yeah

I’ve watched half of Good Will Hunting…its pretty boring

Good Will Hunting: In the trailer, it shows Will mopping the floor and the announcer says “At MIT, the smartest person on campus is mopping the floors.”

Also, Kinsey. Set at Indiana University in conservative small town Indiana in the 1950’s. Some interesting sexual studies underway! Oddly, Fordham University substituted for IU in filming.

Hah that’s really taking a stab at MIT!

Ahhh, in “The Lucky Ones” with babe Rachel McAdams the army guys son got into Stanford, but they were trying to find a way to pay for it and so he enlisted for another term in the army. Typical for people to think they need to go broke just so they can go to PHYSM

^ its actually HYPSM

I’m liking PHYSM. It’s less awkward than HYPSM.

Love Story… Only major motion picture ever shot on the Harvard campus. And a damn good film too.

Seriously? They shot movies at my high school all the time, and they shoot quite a few at UCLA too.

Reese Witherspoon’s character in Legally Blonde went to UCLA … kind of.

They said “CULA” in the movie, though in the commentary that one guy said he meant for it to be UCLA.

CULA is a real college though.

I assumed they didn’t get the licensing to use the UCLA name. I don’t even know if you would need licensing.

lulz

Penn in Transformers 2

West Point, Air Force Academy, and Annapolis in Love’s Deadly Triangle: The Texas Cadet Murder.

Whaat??? Same went to UPenn, the ivy?? I must not have been paying attention.

Animal House - Amherst College ! ;]

^^No, I’m pretty sure they never said what college it was that Sam went to.

Chariots of Fire. Cambridge.
