Yeah and some band called Cream probably covered it too....

though if i hadn't put down puccini it would probably be the girl from ipanema. or jay chou's jian dan ai.

dude! you guys are mentioning music 'i don't even know i don't know.'

dude! you guys are mentioning live guys!

True, but I like Hendrix's live version better. They're pretty different.

And yeah, that guy DID look like William Dafoe! A bit scary, really.

I put "Sempre Libera" with Anna Netrebko. She's a young Russian oepra singer. I LOVE OPERA

But I have to tell you, I also love Coldplay's "Parachutes." I love that cd
so so so so sooooo much. I think I'll listen to it right now.

eww...i HATE coldplay...

ALASKPGKEL ADIHAAOIUAOTHOTRALNR i bet it won't even have this capitalized

I just put a song for favorite recording...but what's wrong with coldplay? They're very mellow. I like the song parachutes, but it's so short!

theyre soo..........so......so........BORING!!!

Coldplay is amazing. Much better than that emo crap out there.

I love "Don't Panic" =)

ugh...grr....!!!!!!!!

(btw what does emo mean?)

emotional (depressive, quasi-gothic, anti-punk music)

short for "emotional," though you probably guessed that.....groups like Dashboard Confessional (ugh) that [over]use voice-breaking, whining, etc. to an extreme. Again, ugh.

lol, ok thanx, ive always wondered....

well now you know

With really melodramatic lyrics like,
This damp air
is fighting my defroster.
My sighs they ring victorious
& fog this tinted glass.
It's clouded
& so is my head.
The hint of these new tears are sharp.
I try to choke them back.
But it's useless.
I am useless against them.
They are beating me with ease.
That was a bit of Dashboard, btw. "The Sharp Hint of New Tears" rolls eyes

Quote:

"Yeah and some band called Cream probably covered it too...."

Eric Clapton WAS in Cream, and Cream did the original cover with Clapton. One band member wrote the lyrics, and Clapton and another band member wrote the music.

It should be noted that the famous bass line that opens "Sunshine of Your Love" was written by the other guy and was inspired by another great guitarist of the time, Jimi Hendrix.

Just a little classic rock trivia by someone who was there.

P.S. How do you "quote" someone in a grey box on CC?

you use [ quote] blah blah what you want to put in grey box / quote
