I didn’t pay attention to the story-line as this was the first halo I ever played, but I only play it for the multiplayer

Gears of War 1. Used to play that 8 hours a day for months on end. Awesome multiplayer. :)

Gears2 isn’t very good though. All the skill was nerfed becuase of noobs who couldn’t play the original.

I like Gears 2 multiplayer because you can add bots to matches. There are very few games that allow you to do that! YOu have to be pretty good at multiplayer to enjoy it in Gears imo.

^In Gears 2 the shotgun takes no skill. Noobs can aim with their little reticules and beat people who know how to strafe and wall bounce (hardcore gamer alert). Oh and that noob 2 piece. My god, people are so bad that they have to use an auto aim melee to get a kill… I blame Epic though for making it so powerful.

GoW1 was about the defacto skill blindfire. No reticule, just skill. Add in shot lead, strafing and other advanced tactics, and you have the best game on the 360.

Is anybody else excited for Modern Warfare 2?

I try not to get excited about games that aren’t out yet cuz of all the hype. It always leads to major letdown.

Yeah, but some games (like Halo 3) live up the hype, I can only hope that Modern Warfare 2 does.

^Eh, Halo 3 is good, but they nerfed the battle rifle which is Halo’s defacto skill weapon.

I’m pretty pumped for MW2.

^man, u r an intense gamer. I’m only like that with Oblivion lol

Haha, I used to play my 360 for 8 hours a day back in 6-8th grade. Got a good 35+ hours a week, learned all about competitive fps gaming. :D

I only get like 10 hours a week now of good ol’ 360 gaming. But i’m pretty proud of reaching the epic achievement of watching over 13,500 youtube videos.

I also used to have a hell of a time playing Runescape in middleschool. Two 99 stats ftw! Everyone used to play Rs I bet. :P

I can’t believe this thread has gotten to five pages without someone mentioning Team Fortress 2!

That game is amazing.

Streets of Rage.

Y’know the one on Sega Genesis.

I second TF2. Console FPS are pretty meh to me

@cj - o jeez uve started the rs conversation again. I was a big time merchant in rs not too long ago lol.

^Hehe, I never understood merching because I didn’t ever want to risk cash. :D

Mining runite was tight cash 'cuz the ores sell for like 18k each.

I haven’t fully quit, I still play like once a week. ^_^

Um, as much as it pains me to say it, it’s WOW by a mile. That game is like crack (you wouldn’t know unless you played it of course). Detoxed and running clean 4+ yrs now :)

Hm, you can’t beat me at RS no lifing.

I played 10 hours a day for about a month when I was almost 99 mining. On the day I got 99, I woke up at 7 am and played to 2 am. I was so damn excited and I felt like I had almost completed my life at that moment… I prepared a water bottle and several one-handed energy snacks for the occasion–left my chair very minimally. When I finally got the level, I bought my 99 cape and practically had a seizure. One of the best moments ever, even though it’s just a bunch of pixels.

Calculate this: 35 experience per iron rock. 99 mining = 13,034,000 experience. This ain’t no walk in the park either. I had to be fully alert to click each iron rock. :DD And then the next few months, I got 99 cooking at like 125 experience per lobster or something.

I clicked a lot and played a lot. Was totally worth it, and I had enough time to spare when I got my levels.

So epic back a few years ago:

This. Only game I ever play.

I was hoping we could avoid talking about RS, but cj u r definetly the king of rs nolifing

I don’t know whether that’s a good thing or bad. ;)

Oh, I feel so bad to bring the topic of drug-like games into this thread. :P
