FBLA Nationals - Is it worth it?

By just glimpsing at the title I would assume that the answer from everyone would be yes, but my predicament is a bit more complicated than the title suggests. I am a freshman and qualified for nationals in three categories, entrepreneurship, sports + entertainment management and introduction to business. Entrepreneurship and sports + entertainment management are both team events, and one of the members of my three person team is unable to make nationals, turning us into a two person team. On top of that, I'm from Massachusetts, which is pretty low on the FBLA totem pole. Since the rooms at the 'base' for the conference were overbooked (the Opryland) we got move to a different hotel which is a 20 minute walk to get to the conference center. With all of this is it even worth it to attend nationals?

Are you able to make it to nationals your sophomore or junior years? If you aren’t positive, then go this year.

I would go this year so you know what it’s like. Even if you don’t place this year, you’ll know what kind of competition is generally at nationals (thus giving you an advantage for next year).

Thanks for all of your advice! I’ll be attending nationals this year.
