Should I bother to retake? This is boosted from a 32 a year ago. I know a 35 is excellent; I just hate being such a (comparative) failure in math. I’m a junior btw.

Twentyseven27, are you kidding me? A 35 is a brilliant score, and a 31 in math is nowhere near a failure…I have had trouble with math my entire life, you should realize how good you have it.

I know, I know. I just wish my math could be as good as my other scores. I’m in a similar boat with SAT (710 W, 750 CR, 660 M), though this is more of a difference. I’m not trying to come off as a pompous ******; I was sincerely wondering if retaking is worth it.

Ah, good to hear. As to your question, your second testing looks more well-rounded and has a higher Essay score than the first one, so that would probably be “better”.

Someone needs to give me some courage. I still haven’t checked my scores. I’m so afraid I bombed and I don’t really want to be feeling terrible about myself right now.

35 English, up from 33
35 Science, up from 33
34 Reading, same
33 Math, down from 36

I’m wondering how I got a 33 in math. I was fairly confident I got another 36 which would’ve meant a 35… The three smartest math students at my school all got 33s in math. Very strange. Was there a harsh curve or did I really unknowingly miss 3? Happy about the increase in English and Science to get me to a 35 superscore though.

Really upset. My calculator died on the last 15 or so questions so I struggled, bringing my math score down. Last time I took it, I got a 34 math, so I’ll retake in June to get a 34+ I guess.

And ****, it’s a 31.25. Just needed one more question right somewhere to get at least a 32 composite.

Either way, little to no prep for this one and I forgot a lot of basic concepts. Meh…

So, if we did not yet get our writing score, when can we expect it? They say they will add them weekly as they become available. Does that mean that they will only add scores on Mondays, or does the term “weekly” really have no significance at all? Or did I not deserve my 33 in Reading?

Someone with a 31.0 could be one question from a 32 as well and someone with a 30.5 could be two questions from a 32. Take it again and you’ll probably get it.

I just realized something truly depressing.

I took the ACT+Writing a few years ago, and thought that was the only time I would have to take it. Then I took this past February ACT without writing, and did very well. But Unfortunately, I can not use my February score at some schools, seeing as they require your writing score to be on the same test as your composite that you want to send in. This really sucks.

Also could someone explain how the score reporting thing works and how much it would cost if sending a report to 5 colleges? It wasnt very clear on the act website
