***February 2016 SAT Makeup Thread***

@wishhhh I think there were 2 tests given out, someone earlier said that a different test was given to the tri-state area

@Emily321 I hear that SAT scores are posted twenty days after test day

Also guys, i looked through the threads. Last year someone who took the february sat makeup called collegeboard to see how the curve would be. They said they would reuse the january sat makeup. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/1735144-official-february-2015-sat-makeup-us-only-thread-p47.html

@uncletim32 which one was Choice E? I know I chose E. It was something similar, I don’t recall exactly.

@CanisMajor So what you’re saying is that they may reuse the curve from the non-makeup January 23rd test and if so, what was the curve for that test?

@TheAjBaj I know I got choice E! I don’t remember the answer exactly. Sorry if I misled you by typing the wrong answer!

how are they even able to “reuse” a curve… curves are based off of the test itself, not some mathematical equation that the collegeboard is going to apply. we cant use the december 2013 curve because this wasnt the december 2013 test. different testtakers, different curve.

Wasn’t this test the exact same test as the December 2013 one though?

So what you guys are saying is that that they might reuse the December 2013 curve or the January 2016 curve?

What was the january 2016 curve?

Also, on one of those chinese websites, it says the answer to the last identifying sentence error was “of the two”. Very confused on this. Is it redundant? Are they right, because if so, I am at 3 wrong and any chance at an 800 is gone.

Also, when are the scores coming out?

If they reuse any curve, it will be the curve for the December 2013 test I think. Or else there may be a completely new curve for this test.

@purplepuffin okay but consider since it is the tri-state area this could be the work of Dr. Doofenshmirtz

anyone wanna take one for the team and call up Collegeboard

guys im like 99% sure you cant reuse a curve. a curve is based on how the test takers did on the test, not the test itself.

not the SATs. collegeboard has predetermined curves not based on students’ scores

well thats dumb. i just decided to do some research too. whats hard to them isnt to others and the same applies for whats easy… stupid.

I took this test so I could get 700+ in reading but with curve we’re supposed to have I doubt it’s gunna happen :frowning:

But does anyone remember the sentence completions? Those were hard af at least for me

I’m going to call the collegeboard tomorrow (it’s closed now). I’ll ask about the curve and see what information they can give me.

How did kids have the answer key @PsychicPanda2 ?

@jenniferrrrrrr Already tried calling them, failed to get anyone aside from an automated robot. However, I did email them about it and they said they would get back to me in 3-5 days.
