Was there an option between 5 and 6 for the token question?
So is it confirmed that section 2 math was experimental and not section 4? I’m praying that it was section 4 that was experimental but I will have to live with it…
@RunAllDay2 I’m quite sure section 4 is experimental.
@bluedingus it definitely was capricious and placid.
The sentence was something like:
The river was very , with dangerous winding curves and stretches.
Capricious means very volatile and unpredictable, so you know the 2nd word has to contrast with the danger, aka placid.
@tm1party I hope so cause I think I got every section other than that correct… but that one I left 1 blank and unsure about the other. But they are all saying section 4 is the real one.
@RunAllDay2 give me examples of questions and ill tell u which was experimental. The roller coaster and postage stamp questions with graphs were the experimental.
Will they use the same curve or another curve?
@anonymous261 its the same curve. I found another international test thread that used the same test and
they had the same curve as the original.
@amdcous there was a question with angles… and the choices were like 40,50,60,70, 80 ( i remember i picked 80). There was also the ice cream question (I picked 15%). And so on… same section
@RunAllDay2 yea that section is the real one.
Dont worry, im depressed too cuz I missed 1 question too, the slope graph one that was III only.
Correct me if I’m wrong, for every question wrong on the math section, the scaled score drops down 30 points. For example 2 wrong is a 720 and 3 wrong is a 690.
1 wrong is a 770 2 wrong is a 740 2 wrong 1 omit is a 720 3 wrong is a 690
Wow that’s brutal. I’m going to call CB tomorrow. Do you think anyone will answer me if I ask about the curve?
@HopkinsHopeful I don’t they’d answer, but please call and report back with what they say. Can you also ask when scores will be released? Thanks
I’m not holding out too much hope on a different curve, the past 2 administrations of this test had the same curve.
would 4 wrong be a 660 then?
@Anonymous261 Yea probably a 670 or 660.
@amdcous would 3 wrong 1 omit be a 690 as well?
@flightzealot sorry I messed up, that would most likely be a 660 or 670.
3 wrong 1 omit is a -5 raw score.
Dangit, I definitely got a low score on the math if it’s that harsh curve… which sucks because math is my worst subject, and the math on the new SAT seems to be harder. Really hope its not that harsh of a math curve.
