i’ll admit part of me is kind of bummed that i missed 2000 by 50 points… and old SAT’s are gone forever. but im still pretty proud of myself. i would take another but it would essentially be like taking it for the first time all over again since the format is different, yeah?
770 writing (-0 but 7 on the essay)
750 CR (-3)
650 Math (-5, 1 O)
Total: 2190
A bit disappointed, especially about the essay. I had an intro, two really good examples, a refutation, and a conclusion. I’m really confused, because this is all my english teacher told me I needed to do.
@Joboko omg yes I got nearly all the vocab wrong and all the actual reading correct…
I wish I broke 2100 but I think I’m content with my 2000 …
i got a 1980 D’:
but eh, my superscore is a 2080 so aye
yall are some einsteins
My score still isn’t in. Great shame.
got a 2200 - 770 in math, 760 in writing, and 670 in reading. Was really upset in my reading score, especially because I know I am capable of getting a 700+ ! I guess now I’ll have to go with the ACT.
Who is now taking the ACT?
haha I took this SAT on my birthday and I think the universe is rewarding me now. I broke 2300! :))
I’m not a genius by any means. I just did a lot of prep work. And now I’m having sushi tomorrow to celebrate. yay!
To everyone who didn’t get the score they expected, don’t be too disappointed. The math curve was harsh af and colleges consider many many other things. I think they appreciate a person who spends a ton of time working on something they are passionate about more than someone who can get a high score on the SATs. Smile! You’re so much more than your SAT score.
I have to take the ACT too because my school requires us to
@jadexoxo20 schools are allowed to require students to take the ACT? jeezus…
@penguin8910 i mean no disrespect i feel like that might be easier to say when you have a score of 2300 or more…
@joewantstoknow I see your point one hundred percent. I just feel bad when I see people so down over their SATs. It’s not a fair system. I don’t take back what I said though
@penguin8910 Congratulations on your score! And yea they can lol I’ve always been more focused on the SAT, so I don’t know how I’ll do on the ACT. I’m gonna prepare anyway and hope for the best
I got a 2310!!! All the prep work was worth it, no more SAT to worry about for the rest of my life!
Good luck to all of you and I hope you got the scores you worked for. If not, just study hard and try your best on the ACT or the new SAT. I improved from 1980 --> 2290 --> 2310 within a year, so it’s definitely possible to improve your score with hard work and persistence. Don’t give up!
I got a 1770
So mad though my reading score sucked
Math 690
Reading 460:(
Writing 620 with 10 essay witch surprised me
@penguin8910 @joewantstoknow
I agree with you both. My past two scores were 2010 (october) and 2060 (novermber), and I was shattered after seeing them. I then focused on the ACT, and got a 32 (science section brought it down a little).
So, I just walked into the testing room this time around, not caring at all. I was so done with these types of tests (especially the SAT), and I just wanted to try my best and not be attached to the results so much. When I got my scores, a 2270, it was just icing on the cake.
In short, I just hope that people will eventually find their success and happiness in what they do, whether it be in high school or in the future. Test scores aren’t everything, and once I realized that, it definitely helped with the testing day nerves.
oh how quiet this thread has become
I sent a tweet to the college board account and they told me that there is no chance the scores from the 27th will be released earlier than the 18th
