***February 8 2014 Official ACT Results Thread***

28!!!

Eng - 30
Math - 26
Reading - 31
Sci - 24 - I thought I did better

Up from a 25 in December.

Congratulations everyone on their scores. I am going to try again in April.

Still listed as registered. I have two colleges that will take the Feb. score, but with this delay who knows. I called and my test is in fact there being graded, but the soonest they will release the next scores are Friday of this week. I am the least patient person ever, so this is HORRIBLE.

Do u guys think this was one of the harder or easier ACTs?

29!!! I get the presidential scholarship!!! I don’t have to pay for college!!!

I AM SO STOKED!!! Congrats on your scores everyone! Especially to those of us who did this test in our Sophomore year!

34 last April as Sophomore, this test a 31 :(
The good news writing was a 10 up from a 7!

Turns out my school is giving a free ACT March 18th for all juniors. Do any of you guys know how it works? Like. how do I get my scores back? Through the school or through online?

I’m a sophomore too, and went in blind. Got a 32 composite.
E: 35
M: 33
R: 27 (I guessed on 10 questions. Not bad)
S: 32

D’s a junior and went up 4 points from last June, so basically in 7 months. With very, very little ACT-specific prep, though she did do PSAT and SAT prep during that time (working on her own with books and practice tests).

For some reason English and Science were her best scores and normally it’s math and writing. Anyway, she beat her target for guaranteed merit by one so we are very, very happy :)

I forgot to send my scores to colleges lol
34 comp
E:33
M:34
R:32
S:35
W:8
No idea how i got 35 on science i guessed on 3 of the last passages questions.
Thought I had a 35 in reading.

Mine still says Registered! Why is that??

If you use earlyactscore.com, you can see your writing score right now…otherwise ACT will release it in two weeks

I’m a senior and already accepted to colleges, going to continue taking it until I get a 35 or 36. ;)

@VaishS, I would say this was definitely one of the easier ones. Reading section was pretty much all objective stuff, whereas some of the ones I’ve taken in the past have had a few subjective questions (how do you think X character would respond in Y scenario?)

not to mention the passages themselves were pretty interesting (in my opinion). Previous sections about sea moss and twin brothers playing during the summer come to mind.

Science I thought was difficult, but evidently the curve was pretty good or I got lucky with my last 7 guesses.

Math is about average I thought. of my 7 tests they’ve all been between 27-29 >.<

English was pretty fair, think the only question I missed was the one about the bird name where it was in parenthesis and involved placing a comma

I stayed up all last night waiting to see my score. It was my 3rd and last time. 1st: 25 (1st semester sophomore, blind test) and 2nd: 29 (1st semester junior, no studying, but an idea of how it was set up) 3rd: (I studied some)
Composite: 33
Reading: 33 (1 point lower than my highest)
English: 33 (up 5 from 2nd)
Math: 30 (up 3 from 2nd)
Science: 35 (up 10 from 2nd!!!)
After the test I wasn’t sure of how I did, but I’m very thankful that I made a 33. I don’t believe I will be taking it again, and it’s the spring of my junior year. Should I take the SAT?

@DJFlash My high school did the exact same thing. They actually handed all of our scores back one day at school. I’m not sure how yours will be, but I would guess it would be like mine.

@thephotoshopwhiz Wow, congrats on your score and scholarship! I got a 29 too, and it qualifies me for the President’s Scholarship at the school of my choice. May I ask which school is giving you your scholarship? :)

Hi guys! The science curve must have been crazy!! I was predicting such a low score.

Anyway, my results:

English: 36
Math: 30
Reading: 35
Science: 34
Composite: 34

Overall I’m happy, I was aiming for a 35 but missed it by 3 points, so I’ll take it again. The math was disappointing, but I knew it would be as I ran out of time. Do you guys think I should take it again? I’m a sophomore.

My October ACT score:
27 E
25 M
25 R
28 S
26 Comp

My February ACT score:
32 E
26 M
26 R
21 S (how, just how?!)
26 Comp

A 7 point decrease in Science leads to me getting the same score. Let’s just hope April is more forgiving!

are you a junior

33 Composite

33 E

Sadly my status is still “registered”… Is anyone else on the west coast having this problem too? B/c I know some of my friends in east coast already got their scores…?
