Fee Celebration!

results are up July 13th at 5pm EST

Thanks, is there a page with all this info?

I think less than 75% will pass this time because the expository question is much harder than last year's. Last year's question was along the line of "Describe a personal experience in which you were mistreated...". This year's question is to summarize over 30 pages of complex, scientific material. You can never go wrong when writing about your experience, but you can easily mess up when summarizing scientific articles. I don't want to sound pessimistic, but I think 50% or less will pass this round. Anyway, we already did our best! :)

Oh, I don't know. I will agree that it was harder this year because all of the reading took up a lot of time. People who put this off until the night before were in for a rude surprise. But some people are really bad at those touchy-feely, emoting, personal questions. They cannot think of anything to say, or cannot make it "come alive" in an interesting way. Regurgitating technical material is actually easier in some respects.

^ No, it's not easier. It sucks.

Wait -- the results are available by 13 July? But we need to submit the information for the HASS lottery by 15 July and we have to know if we passed the FEE to see what our options are. Or am I screwed up?

I thought it was fun. Yeah, the reading was dense, and the article in the National Review confirmed my opinion that republicans are obnoxious and wrong. I enjoyed writing my essays, but I guess I like writing in general. Neither seemed too difficult. Though one was like 1050 words -- I hope they don't get mad ^ - ^

I wondered the same thing. The people who take the second FEE won't get results until August 19th, and the people who wait until registration won't even take the test until Aug 29th! I guess you fill out the HASS lottery under the assumption you'll pass, and revise later if you have to.

btw - those dates are coming from here:

Thanks -- I guess that's what it will be. Now let me try to find that guide to HASS booklet... :)

I didn't take the FEE in June because I'm hoping for (and expecting) a 5 on the AP English exam...does that mean that if I find out I made a 4, I won't have time to take the FEE before HASS decisions go in? I'm confused!

Ah, I see a lot of procrastination here... makes me proud ;)

kodiak86 et al. -- AP scores are available by phone starting today, for an $8 fee. See this thread for details.

Now that everything is done, can we discuss the FEE?

Anyone know the answer to that question?
