Fee Waiver!

This is for the UC application.
Okay so I qualify for the fee waiver by income, however I am a DACA student. I called UC and they said that I should qualify for the fee waiver. They gave me an extra day to complete my application. My question is if I submit a written appeal for a fee waiver, like the guy on the phone said, and it is denied, will I have to pay for my application or will it just be thrown away?

batman, you state in this thread http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1584517-can-i-apply-uc-fee-waiver.html</a> that you are an Arizona resident. If you cannot afford the application fee, how will you pay the OOS supplemental tuition ($23,000/year)? As I explained in that thread, AB-540 applies to students who have attended California high schools for 3 years and have graduated from California high schools.

I will pay my tuition with the scholarships I have received. I plan on using my college board application fee’s for schools that don’t give out application fees for DACA students. I just want to know if my appeal is denied, if I will be forced to pay?

I have no idea. My assumption is that if your appeal is denied that, yes, you would be expected to pay your application fee…

No, you won’t be forced to pay. You will have the option of withdrawing your application.

Thank you!
