How do you get a fee waiver from a school? How do you get one for the SSAT? If you accept a fee waiver will this decrease your chance of being admitted.

Ask the school. They may or may not ask for documentation of family income. Depends on the school.

Ask for it. Each school has a limited number of waivers. If the first school you ask has already used up its allotment, then ask another school.

No.

Why don’t you just talk to your high school counselor to get a NACAC fee waiver to the schools you are applying to? That’s what I am doing, and now I don’t have to worry about coming up with $1,000. If you are in a poor economic situation, your high school counselor will most likely be willing to fill out the form for you.
