Feeling unprepared and ignorant

Ferris is 2+4 for Honors Students and St, Louis College of Pharmacy had decent aid when we looked at it a couple of years ago. The problem with the 0-6 is that they don’t give much merit aid-they don’t have to.

Ohio Northern or OSU here in Ohio both have great pharm. schools. I am pretty sure Ohio Northern would fit what you are looking for - check it out.

annasdad-we come from small rural high school also and notice the same thing. Kids go all four years with 4.0 and last year two 4.0 girls had a 22 and 23 on their act. Same thing this year, some of Daughters 4.0 friends are scoring 22-26. My D got 28 which is like one of the best in her class…though by CC stands just mediocre. lol

A little bigger picture thought…the key to getting merit aid in our experience is being ABOVE the statistics typical for that college. For example, even though our EFC was very high our DD was given unsolicited merit aid with her acceptance letter at DePaul University and Seattle University. If you go to Seattle’s site, it actually has a chart listing SAT score plus GPA score equals this much merit with a sliding scale. Our DD’s host at SU got a free ride at Seattle University - her stats were high enough to be admitted to some more prestigious Ivies, but there she was average and at SU she was superior. She was admitted to the honors college and was ecstatic with her experience. I would recommend you research some threads on colleges that give good merit aid and start investigating now - DePaul and SU were great schools and had a lot to offer!
