The articles states that 31 percent of female startup founders had STEM degrees. In contrast, 63 percent of male startups had STEM majors. However, since only 16 percent of startups had women co-founders, a weighted average of the male and female numbers indicate that about 58 percent of startups in their study were founded by people with STEM degrees.

If you are going to be someone, you can make it with any major or degree. We even see that “someones” make it without ANY degree.

Wait, what?   I was going to say, and still say that if you are going to talk about female srartup founders in science you must start with Elizabeth Holmes, founder and CEO of Theranos.   I recently read about her for the first time (because I apparently live in a cave) but it's an amazing story.  She dropped out of Stanford.
