I was accepted to the film major as an EA2, I looked up some reviews online and the reviews on drexel's film really varies...what do you guys think?

And if its possible, does anyone know the stats of fall 2014 film major, like how many in total applied and how many got accepted? I live abroad so calling them is not a good option haha, I already sent them an email but you know weekend is coming

Thanks guys!!!

Hi there! I have a few friends in the film program, and I’m considering pursuing a film minor. The film program is great because it’s very hands-on, with a huge focus on experiential learning. You start using equipment and creating right from the get-go, the first quarter of you freshmen year. Many of the faculty have great experience, and they’re required to still be active in their field. All of the film classes are also capped at around 16 students, sometimes less, so you really get to know your professors.

Plus, the co-op program is fantastic. Many people co-op in LA, and Drexel even has a “summer in LA” program for media students (which is kind of like study abroad, but not abroad), which gives students opportunities to look for co-ops in that area. Networking is obviously very important in the industry, and these programs really facilitate that.

I’m really not sure about stats, but I think I heard that my class of film students (2012 freshmen) was about 60 students (that’s how many people ended up matriculating in the program, not sure how that compares to how many people were accepted).
