Film School

So I am a junior in high school right now. I have visited NYU and LOVED it and wany to go there for film. But there are lots of good film schools and Chapman seems to be a great one academically (just has less of the social life I want). What sets each film school apart from each other and what other schools should I look at?? And is NYU really good for film or should I look elsewhere? I got a 34 on my last ACT and money is no issue for me so really any school is a possibility.

USC

What I’ve always heard is you go to NYU if you want to make documentaries, and you go to USC if you want to do Hollywood blockbusters. Chapman has a very good reputation, but it’s thought of as the place you go if you can’t get into USC.

NYU and USC are kind of in a league of their own, but Chapman is obviously a great school as well. More ideas: UCLA, Wesleyan, Loyola Marymount, BU, Emerson, UT Austin, Ithaca, Syracuse
