Final Ranks

Colleges want your final transcript, obviously. I know a lot of schools recalculate rank at the end of the school year (mine does). Does anybody know if there have been previous cases of colleges rescinding admission because your rank changed? Mine is currently 13/425. At the best, I'll be 10. At the worst, I could drop to 20. (This totally depends on how many weighted junior college classes my classmates take. I could have a higher GPA than I do now and actually drop a few spots.) I'm a little worried, haha.

I hear internet rumors, but I don't know if those rumors have any validity to them.

Thanks for any info!

As long as you stay in the B+ to A+ range you should be fine. Just don't drop 10 places and receive any B-s for this could screw you over.

Hah, I'm totally getting a B- in AP Calc. However, it shouldn't change my GPA. I'm just worried because there seems to be a .07 point difference between me and #20. If I get straight A's next semester, I'd have a 4.46 (Currently have 4.44) cumm, though, which I think is around the GPA of #12. So a small change in GPA can definitely screw me over in rank.

I doubt a small change to like #20 would affect your admissions. However, dropping to like #50 would.
