1) Why
2) Pros
3) Cons
4) Any Last words before K.O. ?

I don’t know if you have ever heard of parallels but it allows you to run Windows linux and stuff on a Mac. So you can have both!

paging rms to this thread

Are all these threads necessary? I don’t think your computer choice matters that much. I was 18C, but I mostly picked my computer because I thought it looked pretty (it wasn’t a Mac). I didn’t have too many issues with it.

Don’t buy any commercial computer guys, they all have proprietary drivers!

(I think that’s a good enough imitation)

Also VMs suck. Windows is stupidly resource-hogging; I would never recommend VM’ing Windows. I also would, you know, never recommend using Windows unless you have to.

You know what? Since you’ve asked like three times already: Get a Mac. Easy enough to use if you don’t want to deal with it. Easy enough to play around with it if you want to.

I would recommend getting on zephyr though - if you have any computer questions this is where to ask. (Also -c sipb is bloody interesting to read, even though I don’t understand half of it)

(Incidentally - VM’ing Linux from Mac? Why? Use VirtualEnv and MacPorts)

Mac, because you will have the wide variety of programs offered by windows and at the same time you can have a UNIX-like OS!

Note that people on zephyr can be obnoxious. They’ll answer your questions, though, so if you can handle feeling bad, it’s a good resource :P

Final round? What is this…
Get Mac OS X. FIN.
