final transcripts??

i've been told that final transcripts are not required to be turned in unless requested through a letter along with a decision as a freshman undergraduate.....
is that true???

anybody give me at least a word???

According to admissions, no final transcript will be requested.

but it’s recommended to bring one to the orientation.

Does it need to be an ‘official’ sealed transcript from the counselor?

No. It can just be an unofficial transcript. It’s especially helpful if you’re trying to take a foreign language class your first semester. Also, if you have AP score reports that might not have been sent to the University, definitely bring those.

Will, just bring it with you. official one’s only $4

are u perfectly certain that college park does not require final grades?
meaning that i can choose not to send them and they will never hear or request for my final grades from me again? cuz i’ll have to decide in two days

hmmmm… you sound worried!?

according to the admissions counselor, final transcripts are required only for those admitted to the university. and yes i am worried any more comments or questoins anyone>?

Not sure who you talked to, but that’s not the information we were given. At the risk of sounding rude, I think you need to just wait and see what happens or perhaps talk to an advisor at UMD or a counselor and ask their opinion on your particular situation. Without specifics and firsthand information I feel like this topic is kinda like a dog chasing its own tail.

I was admitted for Fall 2007 and I mailed my final transcript in. Not sure what the policy is now.
